If it removes the need for mechanics so be it.
If it doesn't, and it only helps, fine.
That's humanity's intellectual evolution.. People who would be mechanics will go to a similar field instead. We'll utilise our work force better. We'll be more efficient either way.
(as long as people don't stop thinking and start letting the machine think for them, but a mechanic would only bother with these goggles the first couple of time he does that type of procedure)

@blocbonbon (part2) and for the code reading ?? u will need another 5 000$ to buy the scanner, and time ? do you have time and place to do big job like removing transmission or engine... u will need a lift add another 15 000$ so dont hope to much.... its not tomorrow the day that u will not longer need mechanics sorry to break ur kind of bubble and fourth like i said Mrs anybody dont have the experience to deal with certain situation, remove a fan and change engine internal are different thing!

@blocbonbon seriously u think its simple as that?first we already have those kind of tool except its on paper they tell you what to do (mitchells, all data) ... people still send their car to mechanics.. secondly, even if u have those glasses, will u buy a pair of glasses that cost 20 000$ ? they will be useless since u need another 20 000 for tools, third: those glass doesnt help u from finding a problem, u still need experience to do find rough idle, no start no crank ect, ...................

@blocbonbon
i worked for a multibrand analyzer and i think that there will be a copyright problem. I suppose that in the near future this tecnology will be available only for authorized mechanics.

Conclusion: In the future everyone can repair their own car?
We don't need mechanics anymore! |
