MGMT was not involved in the making of this video, however, they became involved down the line. The story goes like this: December 2007: Rushing to make a due date for a USC Music Video class, I ask my friends Raf and Abby to appear in my video. I like the way they bounce off of each other despite completely different personality types, and think they both have interesting faces. Raf didn't want to shave so I didn't push him. We shot in one night, I cut overnight, turn it in and call it the worst thing I've done so far. January 2008: On a whim one night while visiting home in Austin, Texas, I throw the video on Youtube just for kicks. April 2008: Ray Tintori, who has directed 3 official videos for MGMT, finds my fan video online and invites myself and my two actors to come to New York to appear in MGMTs next official video for Electric Feel. May 2008: We go to New York and have a great time on the set with the band and all their friends. |

| I've been quoted in the following link: www.motherboard.tv i am not the star wars kid and i didn't get sued. i would take this video off youtube but its one of the top viral videos of all time. that would be like destroying a piece of art and there is still a lot of other versions and copies of this exact video. so all cannot be taken off the internet, anything put on here stays forever. people wondering where i got the video and why it is posted- i got it off some site i don't know which one and wanted it embedded on my myspace because at the time i thought it was funny. that happened to be when youtube was mostly unknown. i uploaded it and it was the first to go on this site so whenever someone types "star wars kid" my video will be the first one they will choose to watch. i don't think his life was ruined or he killed himself. these are what people always tell me but where is the proof? don't rely on wiki to get your answers. most people want to think the worst because that's a common initial reaction. i don't go on this account much but enjoy coming back to read all the mail people take the time to send me. as for offers on advertising sponsorship, i am still considering, i have a lot of loans to pay off |

This is a video of my then 7 year old son David in May 2008I had my Flip video camera with me. His mom wasnt able to go becasue of work. I taped some of the morning before the surgery to show her and was already planning to tape afterwards. He had just had a tooth removed due to Hyperdontia or extra tooth. This was taken in the parking lot of the dentist office. He was so out of it. The staff was even laughing. This lasted for a few hours and he was fine. He even laughed at the video that night. He is very smart and always has something interesting to say about many different issues. His philosophical reaction to the medication didnt really suprise us. David is a very good kid and I am blessed to have he and his brother William as sons. This has been a great experience for our family. Thanks for watching.
